What is a PKD code, and what is the PKD 2025 classification?
A PKD code (Polska Klasyfikacja Działalności — Polish Classification of Activities) describes the type of business activity a company carries out. You provide it when registering or updating a company in CEIDG (the sole-trader register) or the KRS (National Court Register) — one predominant code plus any number of additional ones.
PKD 2025 has applied since 1 January 2025 and replaces PKD 2007. A 2-year transition period applies — from 1 January 2027, the registers will automatically reclassify any entries that haven't been updated beforehand. This search tool uses the full list of PKD 2025 subclasses from Poland's official GUS classification. The code numbers and their descriptions are Poland's official legal classification, so they're shown here in Polish only — there's no separate English-language PKD system, and this is the exact wording you'll need when registering or updating a Polish company.

Since when has PKD 2025 applied?
Since 1 January 2025, in all registers (including CEIDG and the KRS). A transition period runs until the end of 2026, during which both PKD 2007 and PKD 2025 are in use.
Do I have to change my codes from PKD 2007 to PKD 2025?
During the transition period you can do this yourself, for example the next time you update your registration. If you don't, from 1 January 2027 the registers will automatically reclassify your codes using GUS's official correspondence keys.
How many PKD 2025 codes are there?
The PKD 2025 classification has 22 sections, 87 divisions and 728 subclasses — and it's the subclasses (e.g. 62.10.B) that you enter in the register.
